Broadcasts

Send one message to many contacts: a quick blast from the browser, a paced campaign that runs on the server while you sleep, or an official template blast on WhatsApp Business.

Terms of use and ban risk

The first time you open Whatsapp Broadcast a Terms of Use dialog appears. Its warning: Excessive message blasting, sending unsolicited messages, or any activity that leads to spam reports may result in your WhatsApp account being restricted or permanently banned by WhatsApp. You must Accept & Continue to use the page; declining shows Access Restricted until you review the terms again.

The best practices it lists:

  • Ensure recipients have consented to receive messages.
  • Avoid sending high volumes of messages in short periods.
  • Respect WhatsApp's rate limits and usage policies.
  • Monitor recipient feedback and adjust accordingly.

The app does not cap you

The only throttle is the delay you choose. There is no daily limit or automatic stop. The safety of your number depends on the pacing and the audience you pick.

Whatsapp Broadcast

The page has three columns.

Left: where the contacts come from.

  • The WhatsApp connection panel. You must be connected to send.
  • Upload an Excel or CSV file. Every column becomes a variable you can insert.
  • Select Folder: load a leads folder.
  • A paste box: Paste Names and Phones. Copy from Excel or separate name and phone with ','. Process Data replaces the list; Append Data adds to it and updates duplicates.
  • LEADS MANAGEMENT opens a lead picker. CONTACTS MANAGEMENT opens contacts you saved earlier with tags. WHATSAPP GROUPS appears with the group AI add-on.

Middle: the send list. A table of Name, Phone and Status with a delete icon per row, a filter (all, sent, failed, file), a search box, Save Contact (saves the list with tags for reuse), Create Group, and an Export Blast Report PDF. Duplicate numbers are flagged in red with a Remove button; Save Contact and Create Group stay disabled until duplicates are gone. Past blasts are listed underneath; click one to reload its message and files, share it with a colleague, or delete it.

Right: the message.

ControlMeaning
Delay byPause between messages: 1, 3, 5, 7, 9, 11 (default), 20, 30 or 60 seconds, 2 or 3 minutes. Longer is safer.
Separate Attachment and TextOff: the text is sent as the file's caption. On: text and files go as separate messages.
Variable chipsOne per column in your list, written with single braces such as {name}. Click to insert.
Include #STOP# Opt-out ButtonAdds a tap-to-stop button after each message. Contacts who tap it join your Do Not Disturb list. You can change the text shown above the button.
Send NowStarts sending, row by row. The Status column turns green or red live.
StopHalts a run mid-list.

Polls are limited to 12 options. The Create Campaign button on this page is not active; use Scheduled Broadcast for anything you want to schedule.

Scheduled Broadcast

Open Scheduled Broadcast. The workspace has three columns: Campaigns, Contacts and Message. On a phone they appear one at a time.

  1. Create a broadcast. Give it a unique name (the dialog checks availability as you type) and an optional description.
  2. Import contacts. The wizard offers From a file (XLSX or CSV, first row is the header), Manual upload (paste or type), From Leads, and WhatsApp Groups with the group add-on. Map the columns, preview, import, and download a report of rejected rows if any.
  3. Write the message. You can add several versions; the app rotates through them so recipients do not all get identical text. Attach files. Every message must have text before you can schedule.
  4. Settings. See the table below.
  5. Schedule. Send Immediately or Schedule for Later with a date and time. The drawer shows Will send at with the timezone. If the time falls in your off-hours it is moved to the next allowed time and you are told.
SettingMeaning
Send as CaptionSend text as the caption of the file. With several files, only the last carries the text.
Delay Between MessagesRandom (1–4 minutes) is the default and recommended. Also 1, 2, 3 or 4 minutes, or the safer 15 or 30 minutes.
Off HoursWindows when nothing is sent, for example 21:00 to 09:00. Messages due then wait for the next allowed time.
TimezoneDefaults to Asia/Kuala_Lumpur. Off-hours and the schedule use it.

The footer of the schedule drawer says it best: Scheduled messages will run in the background even if you close this page. A campaign cannot be scheduled twice at once; wait for it to finish. Failed contacts can be re-queued in bulk. Restart resets the campaign to new, clears every contact's status and deletes its pending messages. Campaigns can also be edited, duplicated, shared with a colleague, imported from a file, and their results downloaded.

How long will it take?

At the default random pace of one to four minutes, 500 contacts take roughly 20 hours. Set off-hours so the run pauses overnight, and start in the morning.

Do Not Disturb and opt-outs

Any contact who sends #STOP#, or taps the opt-out button, is added to your Do Not Disturb list. Broadcasts skip them, the AI does not reply to them, and the inbox shows a DND badge and a banner. If everyone on a list is on DND, nothing is sent and the app tells you. #START# from the contact removes them. The Do Not Disturb page in the menu lists and manages the numbers.

Common tasks

  1. Tell 30 customers about a new price today. Whatsapp Broadcast → accept the terms → connect → paste names and numbers → Delay by 11 seconds or more → tick the #STOP# button → write with {name} → Send Now. Leave the tab open for about six minutes.
  2. Announce a launch to 500 leads. Scheduled Broadcast → create → From Leads → write two or three message variants → Settings: Random pace, off-hours 21:00 to 09:00 → Schedule for tomorrow 09:30.
  3. Reuse last month's list. In Whatsapp Broadcast click the past blast in the history list, or open Contacts Management and add a tagged list to the send list.
